Thanks a lot Ninko for the time i'm sure you spent to write all that,i really apreciate I folowed all the steps but it was already done, including the windows firewall,so that was easy lol thanks god. About the speed of my connection: 2Mbits download and 256kbps upload.I did the maths and the result for down was 125000,but how do i get to the uploads values, wot should i put in outgoing. So far the result is that winmx is working a bit better in sec than before, but the lags remain unfortunatly. If there's any other thing that we can try,or some simple actions or things that i can do to try to get even better it would be awesome if you coul'd tell me. I've learned a lot about winmx so far, thankx to you Take Care.

nene, You do the same maths to work out your upload figure. In your case though, to use 50% of your upload speed, your figure is 16000. Ok, regarding these lags: Does these lags happen in every room? Have you tryed some others? Does these lags only happen in some rooms, if so, which and if you know, what server are they hosted with? I'm glad you've learned some things about WinMX, I was once like you, we all have to start somewhere! Take care Ninko

No they only happen in rooms that uses FXS server, the ones that use WCS works very well even if i'm in secundary. The RCMS i have problems too,but it doesn't matter cause i don't visist those. I often visit British ChatterBox,you probably know,i have lots of friends there, and i can only be there at late hours, when half of them are gone to sleep,or are tired ,this room has a FXS server. The lags are so big that its impossible to keep up a normal conversation, its embarassing sometimes,no one likes to be the retarded one LOL. Btw you host a room, you said it,Which one? thankx m8 tc .

Hi again nene, The fact that you only seem to have this problem in rooms hosted on certain servers suggests a problem at the server side, the only thing I can now suggest is that you talk to the people that host the rooms and see if they know something or others having that problem, you could also visit FXS servers official site at fxserver.p2pzone.net/ and perhaps post your problem on their forum. And yes, we do host a room using the Ouka Chat Server, you can either enter the room by clicking 'Chat' at the top of this forum or using WinMX (room name: British Chat_CD23805615D6). Take care Ninko

Hi again, The Allocated Bandwidth option basically sets the amount of bandwidth you want to be used for running the WinMX Peer Network (only applies when on Primary). So for example, if you set 7KB/s OUT 10.5KB/s IN (7000B/s OUT 10500B/s IN) for your Allocated Bandwidth and you have 125000B/s set for your Incoming option and 16000B/s for your Outgoing option (Bandwidth Throttle section) then you would have 114500B/s download and 9000B/s upload left for file transfers. I hope this answers your question! Take care Ninko

atticus, The ws2_32.dll file is KM's connection patch found from winmxworld.com, this patch has known problems, so I myself only use PIE Patch. Right to start, you will need to reinstall WinMX, to do so: 1. Go to: Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > then uninstall your WinMX from there. 2. Delete your WinMX folder completely (normally found in C:\Program Files\). 3. Empty your Recycle Bin. 4. Download PIE Patch 2.9 from >>> HERE <<< and follow the steps for whichever method you choose. 5. Download WinMX 3.53 from >>> HERE <<< and follow the instillation steps. With any luck this should get you sorted, but if not, please let me know and I will try to help you further . Take care Ninko

Hi Ninko here i am again lol. winmx is working fine, but lately it has been shot down,a window appears saying: Winmx encountered a problem and has closed.Would you like to send an error report to winmx developers. I choose send and a blank error page appears saying (Unable to determine IP address from host name for err.winmx.com) and some other stuff. This thing has been hapenning since last week. Do you have any idea why this happens,or wot is it?
Thankx.
